Hi Cathy
In my knitting days I made my mom a knee blanket. I knitted small blocks; a
plain block and then one with a bubble in the middle and stitched them
together with a garter stich right around. She loved it. Inf the endd I made
it for myself as she passed away a month or so later.
Used the same pattern to knit a baby blanket for a friend's new baby. The
blocks were all the same color it was so soft and real baby-like.

Hettie

Hi Hettie,

Yes, you can certainly knit flat on a round loom. However, I can't remember
what the width of cloth a 41 peg loom will make. Does anyone out there
happen to remember? I remember Henry teaching a baby blanket and it was
made from two or three panels. So Henry, Terry, Barb, or Debbie please
chime in here and remind me how wide a panel Hettie might expect a 41 peg
loom to create?

Meanwhile Hettie, I knitted 12-inch squares of different colored yarn of the
same type and then sewed them together to make a blanket. it turned out
very nice, and the squares are not difficult to sew together. The biggest
problem I had with the squares is that I messed up the color pattern because
I mixed up which color square was which. Ah well, I donated that blanket to
a worthy charity for their auction and was told it bid at a good price.
another nice thing about the smaller squares is that you don't need to have
a heavy hot blanket on your lap and can use a smaller loom.

Hmm, just a thought. So, large long panels or squares, all your choice.
