Does your printer have a cartridge type thing that you fill this tray? Or
does it have a fold out shelf?

Most printers have the fold out shelf and/or the cartridge. The fold out
shelf is used to print envelopes and good for single prints. Try putting in
a couple of sheets and if you have the fold out tray put it in that way.
That way has a straighter feed into the printer.

Can anyone answer this question that has knowledge of printers, please. I
use regular printer paper in my printer and want to print on a heavier card
stock. My printer will not pick up the stock and jams my printer. Does
anyone know of an adjustment or if this is possible at all. Thanks for any
teck help I can get, much appreciated.
