I have been doing some research on 100% cotton yarn worstered weight and
here is some of the scoop.

Knit Pics has a cotton worstered weight they call Dishy.  A lot of high
ratings from customers, but they have stopped carrying the variegated color
in this and lots of complaints asking that they bring that back.

They say it is a well absorbant tightly woven yarn.  The solids they have
seem interesting with the descriptions.  100 Gram balls 190 yards $3.99 each
