You did good and didn't really fib. You just didn't tell all. Far better to
do that than find yourself in trouble again. Hoping you have a good and fast
recovery.

Is recover from this hand surgery. Yep, I had it done today. I did do a
little tricky fibbing, but it worked and I am glad I did it.

My blood sugar was perfecvt, but the last time I went that perfect 92
according to their glucose monitor machine read 57. So this morning my
sugar was 80 and I really was nervous they would send me home again. I was
only suppose to take my blood pressure medications and my inhalers for my
asthma. They only said to take a mouthful of water to get the pills down.
I did all of that and then I have these large tablets for when I have an
insulin reaction. They kind of dissolve in your mouth and suppose to raise
your blood sugar by 50. I I ate one of them. When I got to the hospital my
son was a little pushy and told them to check my blood sugar first. They
did and it was 127. The pill did a great job, I never told them I took it
and they did the surgery.Post Op my blood sugar was 195 and by the time I
got home which was like 12 noon I felt it was high. Well I tested it and it
was HIGH. When it says High that means it is over 600. They had given me 2
English muffins with butter and jelly and apple juice. I took some
scrambled eggs and 18 units of fast acting insulin and by 5 PM my blood
sugar was back down to 120 and sstayed around that the rest of the night.
I have been a brittle diabetic for 57 years and things bounce like this all
the time. I am sure nerves pushed it up mid day.

Joyce
