Hi Annette,
I think if it would be an afternoon class for you guys it will then be at
around 8 in the evening for us.
If it is an evening class it is around 3 to 4 a.m. here in South Africa.

So,  yes,  six or seven hour difference.
Maybe an afternoon class at 2 or 3 could work? 
And, glad I am not the only one who had trouble figuring out this type of
technique.

I believe Lindey and Dottie are 6 hours ahead of New York City.  I am not

Hi Lindy,

It might very well be the Turks head knot, but I'm not 100% sure about this.
I could not figure out how to make this bracelet by reading the various
directions I found.  My daughter watched a video and guided me through it.
I think I have taken apart more of these bracelets then I have successfully
finished.

When is a good time of the day to hold a class so that you can participate?
How many hours ahead are you from the Eastern Time zone?

I had to smile when I read your message because I was trying to work out how
to do this craft just yesterday and I couldn't, for the life of me, figure
it out. I had the can and the cord and just could not work out what to do.
I was then thinking of asking here if someone had ever done this or knew how
to do it?
Is this type of knot also called the Turk's head knot?
I would definitely be interested and will try to make the class, even if it
might be at an odd hour (smile) Kind regards.

Hi All,

Is anyone interested in learning how to make a braided Sailor's bracelet out
of para cord?  If so, I'd be willing to teach a 1 session class in June on
either a Saturday afternoon at 2pm, or on a Friday evening at 8pm.  Besides
the para cord, all you need is a small bit of tape, and a can from your
pantry or something of similar size and shape.  The size can I am referring
to is the one that crushed or stewed tomatoes, or pumpkin pie filling come
in.  I will find out the correct name of this size can, it's measurements
and how many ounces it holds.
