Come on now...  

You guys are making me hungry.  My Mom would take fresh tomatoes and first
fry up some bacon.  Then take sliced tomatoes and put them in the frying pan
with some of the bacon greese and flip those tomatoes over when they were
warm on each side.  She would take the well cooked bacon and the tomatoes
and put it on your plate.[Best part now] and she of course went out in the
morning and picked up a loaf of fresh Italian bread.  At this point you
could slap some butter on the bread or just dive in with the bread and slop
up all that good stuff.  Of course we wiped our plates clean with another
piece of bread.

Oooooo childhood memories.  I got to tell Mom to watch out along the road
for those folks that sell their garden veggies.

I just picked about 20 more tomatoes and ate 3 right off the vine.  I love
it when they are fresh and warm from the sun.

Bad, bad nella, and I have to go to the store to get my tomatoes that don't
taste as good as they do right off the vine, (dirt and all. ) Henry who is
