Hello, I just learned a new crochet stitch and I am so excited.  
It is called foundation single crochet (fsc).  It combines the chain and
first row of single crochet into one stitch and produces a very neat and
tidy look to the beginning of your project.  I always found it challenging
to crochet into the chain and with this stitch you no longer need to do
that.

If anyone is interested in learning this stitch, I would love to teach it to
you in a chat.
