[Nfb-krafters-korner] OT Braille

Hi,
Sorry I am coming into this discussion late but I've been in the hospital and have upcoming heart surgery and stuff so I've missed some posts. 

The Braille Super Store, or Future Aids, has a new type slate with a hollow stylus that you not only write left to right, but the thing rolls. I haven't seen mine yet so I can't describe it well at this point. I am eager to get it though and try it out. 

I called APH the other day because I was looking for the kind of slate that they used to call a "math slate" where the back opens up so you can read what you've written?? Well, the guy said they are called a "Brown slate" and they're a hundred some bucks! Yikes! I don't know why they would be that expensive. They sure weren't back when I first saw one. That would have been way back in fifth grade or so--a long time ago.
