Ramona, this is a good suggestion.  I too  am looking for good ways to keep thread organized.

Do those of you who sew use some type of thread rack, shelf or the like?

I think I would like to find something that would hang on the wall.  I could line up the threads on it and easily get them off.

Do any of you have suggestions?

joyce, that sounds very exciting! You might try putting your spools of thread in tiny plastic bags or even envelopes and placing color labels on the outside.
