[Nfb-krafters-korner] Does Alexa do crafts?

There is a LOT to learn with Alexa. So far, I have learned that when you enable skills, sometimes it matters how you ask or tell her something. I use a an app on my phone for a grocery list that you can link across multiple phones and computers and in order for Alexa to add items to this list I must say Alexa, ask our groceries to add deodorant to shopping list. Alexa of course puts the dot/echo into listening mode. Ask our groceries tells alexa to open our groceries. Add "item" tells her what to do. And finally "shopping list" gives the specified list I want her to add it to (you can have multiple lists in our groceries).

So you should be an expert? a consultant? My son set mine up. Now I am trying to figure out what I need to do to my every-phone in order to have access to all the stuff people talk about with the Echo. So far I can get it to spell words (very nice), give me weather anywhere, and answer some questions. But no music, including  no youtube. There must be a way to get music from youtube! I am sure it can give calendar dates (like Easter) but haven't figured that one out either. I guess I am not the only one with some learning ahead.

I am looking forward to a lesson with my Touch on the internet on Thursday, but I am still being told "it will get better with upgrades". Patience is not my best virtue, especially when the Touch is my best computer right now.
