I have thought about that. But I think right now I'm not sure if that's what you want since he already gave me the dimensions of what he wants.

How about doing a tube scarf. Then your changing colors should be hidden inside the tube of the scarf, right?

Hello Terry, have you been able to read any of my messages?. I did explain the process of how it's done. But I will explain it again. When you do the checkerboard pattern, you work however many stitches of one color and then switch to the next car. Make sure you bring the new color underneath the old color. Work the next few stitches. Keep doing that all the way across the road. Next row you do the same thing but you're going to use the last color that was worked on the previous row and work the first few stitches then switch colors again keep doing this for maybe about four rows then you're going to reverse the process of colors and do that for the next four rows. I'm about to put my foot in it so anyway someone asked me if I was happy to teach this class. Yes, I go back to school in February so it will have to be after I finish school to teach this I could do it before I get out but it would have to be on a day that I have off. For those of you that want to learn this process. So if you want me to do this it will have to be on a day that I have off which is Friday. Or one of the weekend days which will be either Saturday or Sunday. Let me know. I'm putting that out there so that I can explain this a little bit better. Also I have the other question why are the running thread showing. It's not showing my Paterenn very well question so could someone else who has done this before please explain why I'm seeing the threads and not just the pattern itself? I want to be able to finish this scar so that I can get it to my friend who ordered it from me.

Could someone teach how to change colors. I have no idea how you could make something checkerd! I still am not sure how to change colors in a striped item.

Ideas for the future!

I have some three-color patterns I like to make. I keep one skein on each side of me and one between my feet. It helps if the skeins are not the same size and shape. Your plastic bag solution could also be a good one.

I did a project with 3 colours, drove me crazy to keep them sorted. I ended up in putting each ball of yarn in a plastic bag like a walmart bag; tying the handels enough so the yarn could be pulled outeasily as I worked. The bags of yarn rolled around on the floor and it was easier to shuffle them into order every so often. I did tie something different on each bag to distinguish each colour so I knew which was pink, white or blue.

Thanks for reminding me to avoid this multiple colour madness!

Good luck, patience is a virtue; if that helps.
