Terry, do you really mean you are sending out class reviews in print, or by
email?  email would be preferred by most I think.  And that might be what
you meant.

Sorry I have not been online to answer your questions for the last two days.
My son was admitted to the hospital today after a very bad time with his
diabetis. We have been trying to manage his two daughters and details.
Appreciate your prayers, never seen sugar so high, hospital stay will have
to mange this right now. Have not been able to get the time on the computer.
Sorry. Please read below for the answers to some of the questions about the
beginners crochet class starting next Wednesday.

 

First let me again state, this is a class for those who have not been able
to get into the stitchs of crocheting. Class One with be making the starting
stitch called a Slip Stitch or sl st. We will practice this over and over
and over until everyone gets it, before we move on to the chain or ch
stitch. Before that I will tell you about the crochet hook, how to hold and
use it and a little about yarn and tension. If you do not need these, you
may skip the class. However, if you are signed up and skip the class please
contact me for your homework assignment that is required by the next week. I
will not skip ahead to tell you the second week class as these classes will
build on each class. If you want to take the class and know how to do this,
you will be asked to wait on the rest of the students so they will learn
this. I will not jump ahead or speed up class as this is a Beginners class
Only. We will not be counting or learning that during the basic classes, nor
pattern reading. I will cover a little bit of these things but if we can not
learn the beginning stitches we can not move on. I know there has been a lot
of discussion about size of hooks, and you can use what you want, but what I
will teach is the typical regular crochet.

 

You have until the eight of January, Friday? To sign up and then you can
expect from me a Pre-lesson to have available to come to class with on
Wednesday. This is a requirement also. Without the materials in hand you
will not be able to take this class. I am sorry this is not a class to learn
by recording. You will get in type from me the class in print after the
lesson. You homework must be practiced and completed. This is the only way
to really learn. The books you read are mostly for the visual student and I
am doing this for the vision impaired. So sign up, come prepared, and be
sincerely ready to learn. Class will be kept to one hour and will be slow
enough jto learn. Hope to talk to you then.
