[Nfb-krafters-korner] Checkerboard Stitch - How to Knit a Checkerboard

Portia,

This is standard pattern. The instructions you sent to me had you knitting
across 34 stitches with one color and only changing color on the last 4
stitches. That is NOT what this pattern is telling you. Also, this pattern
does indicate that you are to strand your work. That means that you are only
working with two balls of yarn.

With this pattern the front side is all knit and the back side is all purl.
When you switch the yarn color, make sure to bring it up under the other
color. Also, be very careful on the color changes that you keep the same
tension. So that you neither pull it too tight or leave it too loose.

Also, remember to keep your working yarn always hanging from the back.

I hope this helps you.

Cindy S.
