New CI update: We are into week 2, we have morning doves in our house! lol
peoples yawns sounds like the cooing of a morning dove. Everyone still
sounds a bit like a robot, but not as bad. I'm understanding more without
having to say huh, huh, what did you say? Have been carrying on
conversations, even in noisy areas.
Saw the audiologist Monday for some more adjustments, we tried out the
bluetooth enabled phone clip that pairs with my ci and today I made several
phone calls to family members. For the most part, did good, still have
trouble with soft voices but have been assured that will get better over
time.
In just one week I have gone from a 33% understanding sentences to 69%!!!
That is totally awesome! I cannot even begin to imagine what it's going to
be like when I have a ci on both sides!
I am just totally blown away by the difference between the hearing aids and
the ci.
