Terry K is giving excellent advice. Know that chain so well that you could
do it in your sleep. Everything you do in her class is going to build up
from that and if you don't have each level rock solid, you will be feeling
lost. If you know each level beyond a doubt, the next level of instruction
will seem so easy and before long, you'll be crocheting what you want with
skill.

I am also so pleased you have gone this far. Sorry to hear about your
success and misstep on the single. You really do need to work on the chain
and get comfortable with that first, it is a building process. You need to
have about one foot of chain ready for class on Wednesday so do and redo
that until you have one you are ready to proceed with. But do not rush, you
are doing good.

Terry K, I can't get away with anything. :)

I had about a yard of chain and thought I'd be smart early this morning and
try a few single crochets. I made three that looked pretty good and then got
into trouble with the fourth. I was going to rip it all out but a friend
wants the chain to decorate something with. This is the one done with the S
hook.

I will keep practicing the chain; I'm definitely not where I need to be with
it yet.

Thanks so much for the class notes as well as the encouragement. I'm super
excited to have gotten this far.
