My dog brightens up our day with her funny antics too. She seems to know 
when Terry or I are having a bad day, and does her best to make us laugh.

Many of you who also have kitters (or who hang out with those who do),  will 
be able to relate to this, and hopefully, it’ll bring a loving smile for 
your fur-baby to your faces. My kitty, Emily, is generally good about not 
playing with yarn while I’m crafting—she often just curls up to snooze 
beside me on the couch while my hands are busy. What she loves, though, is 
when I’m rolling skeins into balls—I can sense her little head going back 
and forth as she watches the yarn go to and fro, and occasionally, she 
sticks her little paw out to try to bat at it or grab it. Just adorable! I 
tell Em all the time, “You make me smile!” Although she has matured quite a 
bit from her kittenhood antics (she’s now four, almost five), I think she 
occasionally does slightly-naughty things because she realizes it does 
lighten up the home atmosphere for me—a nice balance to offset my intensity. 
I think our fur-babies teach us that we can play just as intensely as we 
work...
