[Nfb-krafters-korner] classes & membership

I don't want to cause trouble or upset anyone, but I have a problem with
this. How can the group tell us what to do on our own time?

Can we not share our knowledge to help a friend?

Does the board have a problem with a person calling it a private class, or
do they have a problem with any of us assisting one another?

As I said I don't want to upset anyone, but I want to know the reasoning
behind this.

Hi Cathy F.:
yes, I am a crocheter, and yes, I'd be willing to teach privately. But, I've
been told in the past that this is against the rules due to copyrighting and
so on.
Unless this rule has been changed, (or will be changed in the future) I
won't do it.
I don't want to get into trouble with Joyce or the new board.
I won't do anything without Joyces or the boards expressed consent and
blessings.
I am not trying to come off sounding like a smart butt here, but as they say
" Once burned, twice learned."
Take care.
Henry

Hi Jean,

The archived classes are a history of what has been taught as you said. The
purpose is to allow new members the opportunity to find out what has been
available in the past and the ability to post to the list and ask that this
class be repeated. Unfortunately, you just missed the beginners crochet
classes. But if you post a message with the subject line, "interested in a
beginner crochet class," it is possible that an instructor may decide to
teach it, if there are other students interested.
Henry posted that he is willing to work one on one privately, so perhaps he
would be willing to teach you. I believe he is a crocheter.
