Nella,
I have used this method of canning to do green beans, pickled beets,
tomatoes, all kinds of fruit preserves, and grape juice. I'd say canning is
an art of cooking that is being lost due to large stores and the ease of
purchasing. I don't do so much of it because I've developed sensitive skin
and the vines of plants make me very irritated where they touch me. Glad you
did this and were successful.

This isn't really a craft, but I was able to follow a recipe, and make, and
can, black berry jam.  I used the hot bath method of canning, not a pressure
cooker.  All my jars sealed and I'm so excited.  I'm looking for more things
to can in my giant pot!
