Hi Joyce,

Guiding eyes for the blind is a school not far from you. it is where I
received my five guides. They specialize in helping those with a variety of
needs ,balance issues, using a walking cane, diabetes, hard of hearing and
more. When I was at the school there was a guy who lived in an assisted
living facility who was aged 85 and got a dog. he had just lost his wife and
it was so heart-warming to see him with his new dog. it is certainly not too
late for you to get another dog. Actually, I think it would be a help to
you. why not call and talk to someone at the school about it or call me.
