I'm learning to use a sewing machine again and having fun.  I don't know how
you hand stitch; my stitches are so sloppy when I sew by hand.  I love the
neat perfect stitches my machine makes.

So far I'm practicing making straight lines.  I've been mending seams and
such.  I have been very carefully sewing together some blocks that were my
Grandmothers; I plan on making a throw pillow with them.

I would love to hear more about your quilting.

I should say welcome back. You are a lady after my own heart and skills. My
favorite craft before loosing my sign was counted cross stitch, and I so
miss that one. I admire your skills in hand quilting and hope in time you
might share how you do these blocks, as I am a quilt fan but always used a
machine and would like to make blocks also. I am a crochet person from Sc
and love all kinds of crafts. Hope to hear you posting a lot.

Hi all,
I'm a newish subscriber to the list. I just re-joined the list, but I used
to be on it a few years ago.
My name is Deanna and I live in Ohio. I have always been a crafty person.
When I could see better, I used to do counted cross stitch a lot. But, I'm
not sure that I could do it anymore. I really enjoy quilting by hand, and
have made a few quilts in the past few years. Right now, I am just making
squares and have enough to probably make another queen size quilt. I do it
all by hand, as I've never really felt comfortable using a sewing machine. I
really enjoy the bow-tie pattern. I find that quilting is a good
stress-reliever for me. It keep hands busy and my mind off of things.
Looking forward to getting to know you all and learn some new things!
