[Nfb-krafters-korner] Do you look at what your hands are doing?

I am just like Becky!
My big problem is when I was a kid, I was forced to read large print for a while and ended up with rounded sholders. Through my life I have struggled to read jumbo print like phone numbers. My sight is slowly going down hill. Now I have one more caterac to be removed.

Yes, if I am concentrating I look at the stitch. If I am relaxing and working I tend to look up at whatever is in front of me, the TV or computer screen, talking with friends. Tomorrow I am going to listen in on my husband work. So I will be looking around at the people talking back and forth, then glancing down at the vest I am making.

Even when I could see better I did the same thing as above. I am a touch typist so never looked at the keys.

Becky and the flying fluffy fur ball, ims going tomorrow also, toothy grin.

Do you look at what your hands are doing when you are crafting even if you can't see them?
If you are concentrating hard on a stitch or whatever, do you find yourself bending your head closer to your working hands & project?

Cathy mentioned that she does this and so do I.

So what do you do to prevent that neck ache that can developed?

I don't do it when I type and I think that is I look at my screen with my head leaning on the office chair and I am quite relaxed. I learned that from medical transcribing before I went blind.

Any thoughts on this mill be appreciated as we don't want those pain in the necks..

Joyce
