Iwould suggest you go to Hadley's website as they have all the information
on each class/session there and sign up is there too.

You only need to take one class per year. There is a link under your
membership (if you need me to give exact instructions let me know) and then
they verify it with Hadley and your membership is good for a year from that
date. I have used this route more than once. If I am taking a class at
Hadley as I do from time to time (currently taking the excel class), I make
sure that I get my membership activated and download many books that I have
on my wish list while it is active.

membership.  How many classes do I have to take per year to keep up this

Are you on bookshare? A number of these books are free there. You can
download and emboss your own copies of any book you like. they have a number
of formats including .brf.
Membership on bookshare is $50, or free to any student, including those
taking adult ed courses at Hadley.

As you say, many of these books are not written with blind folks in mind. I
have the  loom book you mentioned and that is a good one.
