[Nfb-krafters-korner] Slip stitch

Dottie;

Does the item still curl, doing it this way. My baby blanket is curling using the slip stitch on a knit a row and purl row.
My knitting group said the slip stitch gives it a nice edge, but does not prevent curling.
When I learned of slipping, I never thought it would curl up on me.

Hello,
I slip my first stitch knitwise whether the mnext stitch will be knit or purl. Some people knit the first stitch on a purl row. You will have to try both to see what works for you with the pattern you're using.
That's one more reason to knit up a swatch, not just to check the gauge.
Dotty
