[Nfb-krafters-korner] Scrunchies

Just to clarify, my scrunchie starts as a long strip, as if I were knitting
a headband around 21 inches long by 3 inches wide -- approximately. It could
be 22 and 4 or 20 and 2.

Once the strip is complete, it's sewn like a tube for a very long finger. So
it still is the length of a headband, but it's the shape of a sleeve for a
very thin arm.

Then the elastic is threaded through it and at last it's sewn together at
the ends to make a circle with the elastic inside. I first sew the ends of
the elastic together using a sewing needle. Then I sew the ends of the
knitted strip together using a tapestry needle.

As a headband, it would have boldly displayed all my mistakes. As a
scrunchie, the fabric bunches together, hiding mistakes. That's why I've
been making them to practice stitches.

As for loom knitting, I don't know how, never saw a knitting loom. So it's
definitely needle knitting.
