I get phone calls, all the time, saying there is a virus on my computer.  I just hang up.  There is no way they would know, especially when I was not even on the computer!

They are spamming PC's in the same way. I got this alarm one day saying I had to call Microsoft and it was beeping and all this noise. It mentioned my internet provider and said if I turned off my computer I'd lose everything in it. I called my Internet provider and she knew the scam well and told me to turn it off, unplug the router from the modem and the modem from the cable coming in for a minimum of five minutes and run my antivirus immediately. No more problems just as she said it would be. But, they wanted me to call this number so they could make me pay money to do what the internet people did for free.

Thanks for this heads up. I heard on the news the other night that hackers had gotten into the Mac computers, and were holding them ransom, and you had to pay a large amount for the code to unlock your computer.
Be extra careful everyone.
