Henry and All,
Thanks to all of you who sent things along that I did not know. The pumpkin
came from the Vet and I also did not know it was for not going, I believed
it was for loose going. I have used the rice with boiled chicken before. But
today is Monday, Annie is fine, last week was bad and we appreciate all your
good wishes. She is like my next child and glad to have that in the past
now. Below is a Natural remedy for digestion problems that seems to work
well. This dog will not eat veggies or fruit of any type, I have tried, but
she like pumpkin, go figure.

Mix pumpkin with cream cheese. Roll in corn flakes, give as a trest.

Hi All;
We give Sophie boiled white rice for any loose bowel problems. That does the
trick too.
Sophie and her parents hope and pray that Annie gets well soon.
As for the micro chip, the vet should have info about this.
please keep us posted on Annie.

Annette,

The pumpkin works equally well when it is to firm. This was a constant
problem until I took Tammy to a grain free food which for the most part
cleared it up.

Hi All,

I give my dogs pure plain canned pumpkin when their digestive track is not
right and things are not in the healthy firm state, if you get what I am
talking about. I just put 1-3 tablespoons on their food once or twice a
day, until everything is back to normal. All of my dogs have loved it. One
dog refused to eat his food when I stopped adding it. So from that point
on, I gave him a teaspoon on every meal.

Be sure that when you are buying the canned pumpkin, that you get the pure
pumpkin, and not pumpkin pie filling. The pumpkin pie filling has all of
those wonderful spices in it that your dog does not need if they are dealing
with digestive track issues.

HTH,
Annette

Hi Greg,

4 questions:
1. Do you mix anything into the pumpkin to make it more tasteful?
2. Do you put it in her food or give it straight?
3. Do you thaw it out or give it frozen?
4. Where can I get the info on the Home Again microchipping? It sounds
like a good program, especially with the on call nurse 24/7. My dog has a
microchip, but the information is old and outdated by about 7 years. I had
forgotten about it until I went through her papers recently. She's a pet,
not a service dog. Home Again sounds good. She does wear a bone-shaped tag
with her name and my cell phone number on it (an FSU tag). Thanks in
advance. Take care and god bless.

Annely

Also, is she
microchipped? You may be entitled to call and talk to a vet

through that. Tammy has Home Again and for
$20 a year, one of my benefits is
a ask a
nurse type thing but with a vet 24/7 unlimited. That's just one of the
benefits.

As long as she is
eating and not just laying around I think that is a good sign. Monday seems
like a long time away, but keep her going out side for relief.

Have you looked up online to
see if there is any more that you can do?

What week! Have little Annie spaded this past Monday, and paid a good deal
at the Vet for this. Well also had a tooth removed also. On Wednesday, had a
bowel blockage and cleared that up by giving her pumpkin to start things
going, it worked well. Still nursing tooth and soft food. Well today, has a
urine infection. Paid for the shot but still got infection. Has to take her
out about 10 times a day. Of course the Vet can not see her until Monday at
9AM, cause closed today at 3 and we called at 2, and closed Sunday. Annie
seems fine in every other way but Mommy is a reck. Just need smypath from
other doggie families.
