Dixie,

Are we on the same thought wave???

I just bought one of these hexagon looms just for doing this.

I had put in a bid on EBay and then went out and was doing more searching
for them and learned they actually have remade these looms and have them for
sale brand new and guaranteed.  I was hoping they wouldn't accept my bid and
planned on purchaseing a new one.

I should be getting mine by the beginning of the week.  I did get an
additional instruction book on making lap and blankets.

I will let everyone know more once I receive it.  Supposely it comes with
pieces to put together to make larger size hexagons.

They originally made these looms back in the 70s to mid 80s.

If this doesn't work the way I hope it will, I have another loom that I
recently had gotten that I think will work, but got some yarn to test it out
and think I need to get another cone so I can hold it double.

Does anyone know how to make the hexagon placemats and square hot pads on
the looms?
 
I have some I picked up years ago at a church fair and would love to make
some new ones.
 
They are layers of different colors of yarn in a grid and there are loops
around the outside edge.
