Joyce, this is interesting.  Some time ago, I asked someone to pick up
stitch holder for me from Hobby Lobby.  She brought back the item you have
described.  I had no idea what they were and didn't even ask her to read the
package.  Now I know what I have.  The lesson here is: do not ask someone to
shop for you, whon knows nothing about the product you need.  Oh, I did get
stitch holders later when I went looking for them myself.

I have the next thing about these needles:

I had brought them with me to a birthday party today as I wanted some eyes
to look at them and see if there was any directions, pictures on the
package.

There are 3 needles.  Each one has 2 needles a little bit less then 6 inches
long[each needle] and then it is bendt in half with maybe around 1 1/2" gap
between the bendt needles.  The needle is stiff plastic that is not flexible
at all.  My Mom said it had a picture with half the sock on one of the
needles and the other half on another one of the needles.

I tried casting on 32 stitches of a thick yarn[mittens] but I did barely 32
stitches on one needle and had to stop before going on.  

So stitches did slip off and I will do it again as I did not have a chance
of dividing stitches in half and putting it on the 2nd needle.  I will say
it wasn't the easiest handling them as you had to use 2 of them to cast on
the stitches.  You did not have the flexibility as with circular needles.
These needles are permanently bendt.

I will finish the test tomorrow and let you know.

Interesting.  Maybe the curve helps prevent the stitches from falling off
when you are not using a needle?  When you work with these needles are your
stitches on 2 needles, and you use the third to work the stitches on to?

I just received these knitting needles.  They are a bit weird as there are 3
of them shaped like a bendt boomerang.

I won't be using them immediately.  I am knitting a hat and when I finish
that I will give them a try making mittens.
