Subject: [Nfb-krafters-korner] Seed bead tip

I heard on a knitting podcast about a great way to keep track of seed beads when working on a beading project. Here it is:

Take an empty CD jewel case & open it up. On the side where the CD is usually stored, put down some double sided Scotch tape all in that area.
Then sprinkle on your beads. To pick up your beads, slide your sewing needle in the bead hole & pick up. The tape isn't supposed to leave a sticky residue on the beads.

When you are finished working on a project, close the case & you have a nice place to hold your beads when not being used. Plus, if you accidentally knock off your beads, you don't have to worry about beads all over the floor & cute pups eating them. You do have to replace the tape after a while by just taping over the old tape.

Now my added tip:

Use this for storing your seed beads by labeling the outside of the jewel case with the color of the beads & their size using brailled Dymo tape or a Pen Friend dot. Then take some type of container, such as a plastic shoe box from the dollar store, and store your bead cases upright in the container.

I hope I explained it clearly. If you have any questions, let me know.
