Please know that some people are doing good to respond to a message. Some people are not as computer savvy as you. If you are deleting based on Subject, you are missing a lot and will continue because none of us just says one thing in a message. Also, you can change subject lines instead of having such a convoluted one like this one. It is your choice to delete. It is your choice to miss out.
We can foster communication and sharing or we can once again shut people down and end conversations. I guess to be politically correct, I should say something about pickles and candle wax. You know, many people seal their pickles with paraffin.

Or use tools. In canning, there is a rack with a handle where you place in the pot to hold jars in position.

This is a great example. If a sighted person had a jar to fall over in a boiling canner, this would be difficult for them as well! It can be done safely but is going to involve cooling that whole pot down some and using jar tongs and another lifting tool like a huge spoon or another pair of tongs to grab it with both hands. And, if a person is limited in their abilities or doesn't feel comfortable, you call a sighted friend or if you were a sighted person, you call your Mama or a friend and say now what do I do lol. So, we all need to know our comfort zone. I don't like dealing with the pressure canner. So, I'll break green beans all day, wash dishes, and all the rest. But, I get a helper to help with the canner for a share of the beans.

Yum, dill pickles! Easy to make. Well in comparison to the 7 day sweet pickles that my Mom used to make. For the dills; the clean hot mason jars (full of cuucs and other stuff) are filled to near top with brine. Using a liquid alert on side of jar makes this doable for me. After sealing the jar, place it in the canner for processing. . I’ve done canning / preserving, mainly peaches, pears and apricots and the utensils that go with this process makes it again doable. The exception for me is when a jar falls over in the canner filled with hot water. very difficult to get out.
It is an all day job with lots of pouring of hot brine. .
I no longer do the canning as we do not eat that much fruit and we are in Mexico for the winter. I have done some selsa type preserves, but they are in small jars.
