[Nfb-krafters-korner] Realistic object drawings.

We had some people on this list a couple of years ago who did pottery. One
used the clay that you can bake in your own oven. Some day when I don't
have so much waiting for my attention, that is something I would love to do.
I would love to make designs, both tactile and colorful on mugs, plates,
etc., but tactile pictures that are also attractive to sighted people would
be a nice challenge.

I once made a two dimensional color wheel out of oven bake clay. They were
all different kinds of colored cockatiels. It had aspects that I had to deal
with like tint, tone and Hugh that I never really understood because when
we tried to label it, the person helping me got things mixed up, so it
didn't make much sense and I forgot which colors went wear. I used acrylic
paint on top of sculpy. I have also made a few things with femo clay. That
particular brand doesn't seem as easy to manipulate as the former. If you
want to make a nicer sort of two-dimensional picture that will last quite a
while, you could use posterboard instead of paper. It's a little thicker
than braille paper, so it holds up really well when you have items that need
to be glued. Maybe I should send another message specifically concerning The
subject of polymer clays. I've heard people have been able to make dolls,
jewelry and other things with this kind of Clay, and was curious if anyone
knew more about that.
