[Nfb-krafters-korner] Subject temporarily changed from Realistic object drawings to teaching art

Hi Henry, for the purposes of my response, I thought it best to change my subject line because it sort of veers from the original topic.
Owning my own studio would be one of the most awesome things ever! I'd like primarily to teach blind and visually impaired students, but I'm not sure if there is a specific degree I would need to get for that purpose. I don't want to teach them academics, so hopefully I don't have to get a masters in the VI field. I don't think they have a specific curriculum for art teachers for the visually impaired though. I don't know what would be required of me if I want to teach them specifically Art. Right now, I volunteer at a preschool that is geared specifically for blind children. They do something called reverse mainstreaming, where they have either sighted siblings or other sighted children enter into their environment. I also occasionally work with elementary aged VI students who are doing various art projects for local contests. Hopefully these experiences will take me a step in the right direction.
