[Nfb-krafters-korner] Help Becky, FW: Cro hook

Joyce, I snooped around a bit on the web looking for the proper spelling,
and I couldn't get the right hit. I will have my husband read it off the
hook. The books I clumsily referred to are pattern books done with this
technique. I do remember a while ago some on list tried to get in touch with
the new owner of the web site and couldn't. So maybe they took it down,not
sure. But I will have my husband read the name on the needle later on and
give it to you all. 

I did see several hits on crochknit, so I am wondering if this is the
technique of cro hook or not. Maybe they have the supply of these awesome
needles, not sure.

also talk about books there, too.

Terry, there is a wonderful double ended hook that does have caps on each
end. It is an N size hook and I bought it from a web site, think Becky
think, lol. Thinking is not my long suit at this moment.Crochnit site or a
similar spelling. This precious lady said she came up with this technique,
we know as cro hook, ages ago. She has books, last I knew on the site. 

You can take one of the caps off and use it as a Tunisian hook, or take both
caps off for cro hook. Put the caps back on to protect your work from
falling off.

Is the hook we used for the tension crochet, the same as the one, needed for
the cro hooking class.  Some think the cap comes off and there is another
hook at that end.
I said, last night, I did not think so.

A Cro Hook is also called a double ended crochet hook or double pointed
crochet hook.  At either end there is a crochet hook of the same size.  Cro
hooks can vary in length.  You do not want to start out with too long of
one.  Around 8 -10 inches is a good starting length.  I like using a size I,
J or K.  Boye and Clover make them.  I've bought them from Joanne's and from
AC Moore.  

If you own a interchangeable crochet hook set, you would need 2 crochet hook
tips of the same size and a cable.
