I've heard that some gardeners put rubber snakes or mothballs in their 
gardens to keep the critters out. ( This is no joke. )

Kudzu will require a spray. Read the label. I'm pretty sure that Crossbow
will do it. Ask your Southern State dealer or garden center. Also, you might
try hot lime for those squirrels in the garden. But, you can't have pets
that can get into it. It's not poison. It's a deterrent because it is "hot".
It burns if they get it on their paws.

rid of cudzu I am battling it as well.

Hi,

I got an email from hgtv.com today that had a link on 17 ways how to keep
squirrels out of your garden.  I went to the link and only found one--get a
dog.  I didn't see anything else about squirrels and gardens, but I didn't
dig too deep.  If I find anything else, I'll let you all know.

stuff already.  My tomatoes, peppers and  cucumbers are just now starting to
bloom.

I am eating greens of some
kind almost everyday and I have lots of herbs to  pick and use.

I haven't read the Square Foot gardening  book yet, but it looks
interesting.

thought it was the one you were talking about.

I really like the herb book
that I listed.  I keep it on a flash drive and  refer back to it often.

I went out this
morning to stake the rest of my plants & found about

cucumbers that should be ready to pick
soon & one pepper that will be ready
