Cathy, The e-wrap we work on the round looms like the Figure 8 is the twisted stockinette; I've been working that on the board for a while. What I have discovered is the stockinette and double stockinette that is worked in two passes for a row instead of the one as in the Figure 8, and is a tighter weave. I remember purling on the board but then I got into the needle knitting and got away from the boards for a while. The double knitting technique I hope to try this winter is working with two colors so that one side is one color and the other side is another color. The board I'm using right now is regular gauge and only has eight peg pairs. It's a good thing I have gotten used to using the French knitters because it's a bit fiddly to hold. I like it though as I can use worsted weight and it is easy to wrap with one hand and use the other to guide to the next stitch.

Can't wait to hear your progress on the fall leaf pattern. I got up to where you are now and had to frog it. I was watching football and then noticed this gigantic hole in the lace. I've cast on back to row 5 but it's on hold--too many other things at the moment.

If you pick up the board again let me know. I still love it for how quickly projects work up, and now some different stitches to try.

Karen
