I'm not Ramona but I am a needle knitter. Try the Lion Brand patterns 
on their web site. There is a Pattern Finder search program there which 
will give results for knitted vest patterns at the beginner level. 
Choose the pattern without images and you will find a link for the 
pattern set up to copy into a braille device.
