It is only a lost craft due to each adult that lives in a household with children.

I, too, remember walking around the yard looking for those unique leaves with the perfect colors and pressing them in the wax paper.  

I love the idea about making place mats  out of them and the Christmas cards, too.

Hi Theresa, I remember that as a kid that I used to press leaves between the pages of a heavy book, or that my teachers would help us dip the leaves in some kind of apreservative.
I think that this is a lost craft now a days.

Foliage is a huge deal where I live… In the northern kingdom… when I was a kid… I would collect what I thought was the prettiest leaves… And try to make a scrapbook out of them… does anybody have any leaf crafts that they have done as a kid… Or that they do now… Teresa
