Well this depends on how you hold this straw and put it around a peg. As if
you tend to wrap too tight, you can maybe do it looser by wrapping in a
circle and going to the next peg and wrapping in a circul without pulling on
the yarn as much.  You just need to give it a try and go from there.

Joyce, I can see how the wrapping would go faster, but got to play with it
on how one could adjust their tension. Or does it increase tension, growl,
giggle.

Jill is correct about the weird straw type tool.  I bought one to see what
it was and what it did.You thread it with the yard with the wider part going
toward the ball of yar .  Then start wrapping yarn after you anchor it to
the side pin.  Wrap maybe 6 to 10 pegs before you use it.  It gives you
something more to hang on to when wrapping.  Just something to play with and
adjust looser or tighter your tension.

 

Heck, Mara grabbed it off the table and I found it chewed up on my bed.  So
much for that.

I believe it is to feed yard and through so that you can wrap the loom
quicker and easier

It Arrived! I have been waiting and waiting. Guess where the loom was, not
on my nice dry deck, but sitting on the steps leading to my upstairs deck
that is empty. Yep got very wet, but Cindy Wood wrapped the loom in bubble
wrap, smile.

The oval loom is twenty seven inches long and four inches wide, according to
my husband. I was surprised it was so long and narrow. It came with a neat
padded tool, and an odd plastic tube that is narrow on one end and like a
drinking straw on the other end. I don't have a clue what it is, nor have I
read the booklet, nor emailed Cynthia. Do you all know what I am supposed to
do with a hallow tube?

Boy this is a very nice loom, smile.
