Hi, I thank all of you that came to the chat tonight.  I really 
had fun sharing this stitch with you and I hope you find it 
useful.  Below you will find the written instructions.

Single Crochet Foundation Chain

Place a slip knot on your hook and chain 2.  (1 loop on hook) 
Insert hook into the first chain you made.  Yarn over and pull up 
a loop.  (2 loops on hook) Place a stitch marker on the loop you 
just put on your hook, this will be the one closest to the hook 
end.  Yarn over and pull through one loop.  (2 loops on hook) 
Yarn over and pull through both loops.  (1 loop on hook.  You 
have just completed one chain and one single crochet.  you will 
now repeat the same process except this time you will insert your 
hook into the stitch which has the marker on it.  Yarn over and 
pull up a loop and put a stitch marker on this loop.  Yarn over 
and pull through first loop on hook.  Yarn over and pull through 
both loops on hook.  Second chain and single crochet completed.  
You will begin to see the chains forming on the left side and the 
single crochet forming on the right.
