I would love to go to one myself. I wish one could be in my state and close
buy. And not just in my state and in a different county. The only one I knew
about was far away from my home and you needed to pay for a hotel or bus
ride. That's not doable for us. But it's alright.

I need to get on a call and see what's all the talk about!

Naima, we'd all love to learn about your scented ornament. Our Monday night
chats usually last about an hour to an hour and a half, sometimes after the
main topic of the evening has been discussed we all just hang out and chat
about crafting or other stuff.
You don't have to feel nervous around us, we don't bite. Lol.
Talk to Joyce, and she'll help you set up a chat night.
I am sorry that your Mom is giving you such a hard time about crafting, if
she could see something that you or other blind people have made or done,
then she might change her mind.
It would be a good thing if you could bring her to a national Convention or
to a craft fair where she can see that blind people can do crafts.

Are you sure people will want to hear about that? I will try. I have never
been on a Monday night chat, so I don't know what goes on or how long it is.

I'm not that good of a speaker, I get very nervous. So what do I do about
that too?

I still want to take my first class but convincing my mom is a different
thing. I tried to go over to the craft section yesterday in Wall Mart but my
mom is getting hit hard by the pollen and her allergies. So she said another
time.

I want to be as good as all of you with your crafts. It drives me crazy that
I can't join in all the fun!

She still can't understand that blind people can do crafts over the phone or
through email. She can't understand how a blind person can safely use a
sewing machine too.

I know how to make a homemade sinted ornament, but I don't know if it is
good enough for this group. It's very easy for me but I don't know if it
