[Nfb-krafters-korner] question about potholder looms

I got the large pot holder loom from Harrisville in New Hampshire. They
sell the best cotton potholder loops. The loops are especially made to fit
the size of this loom. 1 potholder will not make the size for a place mat.
It will take 4 potholders to make a placemat. The loops are expensive and
cheaper if you purchase the large bags of them.

I actually had a loom made to weave placemats, but that didn't work out as I
needed to weave 3 of them to make a placemat size. So I sold that loom to
Dixie.

I have another idea for placemats, but I need to become confident in making
it before I talk to folks about it. I hired a teacher and she will be
coming out for a lesson on October 8. I am hoping I will be able to get
enough lessons and practice in by Jan or Feb.

Subject: [Nfb-krafters-korner] question about potholder looms

Joyce,
Could you please tell me where you got the large potholder loom? the one
that you said would make placemats. Do you think that Walmart or Joann's
would have it? Also did you say that cotton loops were the best to use? I
want to make some placemats for Christmas gifts.
Thanks,
Debbie K.
