It sounds like you might have that wrong.
I moved out and lived on SSI, then got a low paying job.  They usually give
you less when you live at home than when you live on your own.
Do you have a rehab counceler?  
If you can not go to NFb meetings, you can join, the NFB at large.  This is
a group of NFb members who can not attend local chapters. 
Look on www.nfb.org for your state chapter and find your state president.
I had a mother that was over protective, too.

Yeh, but SSI says another thing.

If I want money to live off of I have to stay and she's not that bad all of
the time. Just when she doesn't feel well or have talked to her sister who
is worst than her.

I would love to live on my own but I want to be married first.

Naima, I assume you live at home with your mother. Most parents say as long
as you live in their home you live by their rules. You can certainly make it
a goal to move out on your own in the future and then you get to make the
decisions. While that sounds great you also have to take the consequences of
bad decisions and we have all made a few of those. Parents can be a great
support and a major frustration.
