Hi,I’m confused about one of the items in the directions for the class on Thursday.

Under the supplies for the chick, it lists 2 sizes for 1 of the items.

Can you clarify which size I actually need?

Thanks,
Jessica

>>> I must say I am sorry for this entire mix up. I am totally confused. This is the first time this has happened to me, and again I am sorry it happened with a new person. When I filled out the form for the class, this site requires me to fill out every section or it will not accept the class. I only found out this morning there was nothing there describing the class and skills required. This was new to me also. I try my best to be very informative with all my actions. I jumped to the fact you were not reading the class description, I am sorry for that I could not understand how you did not understand this class. This morning I got the email that there were problems with my class sign up. I hope you understand where I was coming from and forgive my messages. I was also told and I now have the sign up list for this class and your name is not on the list. I do not understand that either. If you signed up your name should have been on that list. I have sent out 3 messages to others to figure out what is going on. You do not have to do anything to cancel this class as it did not pick up your sign up. Did you get a confirmation to your sign up? This is a total mix up and when I find out how this happened, if there is ever an answer I will let you know. I would still suggest to you to download a book from the many, many sources out there and go through one to fill you and your basic questions on learning crochet. If you have questions from the book or website, place them on the list for help. All of these places will really help you learn about hooks, yarn types and things like that. It will give the instructions on abbreviation of stitches and pattern reading. It is than easier to learn stitches. If you want the class notes on Basic Square, let me know and I will personally send it to your personal email, however, it is 4 pages long and in all crochet abbreviations which will be foreign to you at this time. This is my best advise to you to start. Again I am total sorry for this misunderstanding. Please send me your personal email if you want the notes.

The listing does say, Beginner, however, if you have read down it also states. "Skills neededYou must know the basic stitches, Single, Double, and chain". These instructions are 4 pages in length and if the student does not know the basic, there is no way to do this class. I have taught the very start of crochet many times from needles to yarn, and it would have stated, for the student who has No knowledge of crochet to learn from the start. It is not possible to teach beginning crochet on an email class. Is the problem, you are not understanding and the problem you did not understand the class skills? I try to be fair and give as much information to anyone who takes my class, in ffact, too much. I know a few others have tried to explain to you how classes work here and you are new to this. There is nothing you need to do about the sign up. As I suggested you might want to get a book from BARD or go on the Internet or wait for a start class on list. There might be someone who will work with you one on one to get you started. I gave you an example to answers to your questions, which I am glad to do but it is not possible to teach an entire skill on a list serve. Wish you well in learning a new skill. There are many things at Krafters you can learn or get help with, however, it would help if you are not understanding what is written you start ther and problems will be solved before the start.
