Ramona it sounds like you have visited some beautiful places.

It also sounds like you have a good line up of even more beautiful places.

Gardens are nice, and I would love to visit the one Jody mentioned. Beaches
are really my thing. If there is a body of water nearby, I want too be in
it. I love the waves and the winds. The North Sea is very cold, even in
August. Waikiki on a calm day can be like a rocking chair and wonderful for
swimming. Many Seattle beaches are very rocky. But the water can both
caress and show tremendous power. Many beaches have interesting birds,
seaweed, shells, rocks, smells good and bad. My daughter and I took a canoe
to a small island in a lake where turtles were sunning themselves, and I
could touch them. Would you say that is a sensory garden?

One of my favorite hikes was through a McCaw reserve in Costa Rica. Of
course, we could not touch the animals, but many talked to us. They flocked
to where the visitors were standing. There were Jagwars and wild pigs in
that Reserve and it was a wonderful visit. And there were some models in
the gift shop. I have McCaw earings. . On that trip we also toured a farm
in Mexico where they grew many kinds of herbs for medicinal use and to eat
in daily meals. We were encouraged to smell and taste some of them.

There are many, many places I would love to go. This spring the rivers here
are very, very full. I am hoping to visit the Shoshone Falls (Niagara of
the West) in the next two months. There is also a big cliff called one
thousand springs where water, especially in the spring is pouring out of
hundreds of places. It is on the way to Shoshone Falls, so hope to get
there, too. Red Fish Lake and Lake Louise are wonderful mountain lakes.
Enough already!
Ramona

Once again it is Wednesday and time for us all to do a little mental
workout.

Last week I led a chat about gardening and on Monday Cathy F led a wonderful
chat discussing outdoor experiences for the blind. So I decided to continue
this theme just a little longer.

Monday night Cathy described some sensory gardens to us. A sensory garden
is one that engages all 5 of the senses. If you were to design your very
own sensory garden what plants and other features would you put in it?

What was your very favorite outdoor experience?

Do you have any outdoor experiences or adventures on your bucket list?

What is your favorite experience with wild or domesticated animals?

Do you have any animal related experiences or adventures on your bucket
list?

If the answers are anything like the chat on Monday it will make for some
very good reading.

Nella
