[Nfb-krafters-korner] Want To Know Wednesday 4/12/17

Hi Linda,

My Mom was an incredible seamstress. She made each of us three girls the
same outfit for Easter in different colors each year. I only remember a
few, but I know she did it every year. I remember checked skirts with
matching jackets, and mine was yellow. Everything for me had to be yellow.
Of course I had a yellow Easter bonnet. Do any of you remember when you
never went to church without waring a hat?

Bernice and the sweet Octane.

Henry, Southern Easters are wonderful. We dress in our new Spring clothes,
well children dress up; then, we go to church. After church families meet
and enjoy a pot luck lunch. This lunch usually consist of ham and/or
chicken and dressing, potato salad, develed eggs, green beans, corn, slaw,
congell salads, relish trays, several different desserts breads and drinks.
After lunch we hide eggs for the children. Then, we eat again and go back
to church. At night we take our stuffed selves to bed and hope we can
sleep. Sometime the Easter bunny will hide the colored eggs before the
children get out of bed. The bunny leaves basket filled with all kinds of
candy and useless toys. My daughter is 36 and the Easter bunny leaves her a
basket every year. I love Easter!!

Good Morning Nella and Everyone, first of all, who is getting older around
here? Aren't we all like Peter Pan who never got old?
Terry and I usually put out a few small decorations.
We usually try to go to Mass with the Family, and then over to someones home
for ham and all of the trimmings for dinner, and I try ( usually
unsuccessfully though lol. ) to um urrr con Terrys Niece out of her
chocolate rabbit or black jellybeans.
Could someone tell us please about the Southern Easter traditions?

It always seems that Wednesday rolls around so quickly, well it seems that
all time passes quickly. I hear that is a sign of aging, so won't spend
much time thinking about it.

As all of you know this Sunday is Easter and we are in the week of Pass
Over. So I thought it would be appropriate to relate my questions to these
holidays.

How many of you are making special crafts for this time of year?

If you are creating special crafts, what are they?

How many of you are decorating your home and what are you doing?

Does your family have a tradition for the holiday?

If so please tell us about it.

Since I'm a southern girl I want to know about traditional foods. We have
food for everything down here in the south, which is probably why we are a
chubby people.

I look forward to reading all the responses.

Nella
