Terry,
No I have not done this but I am certain you can use about any shape as long
as it is not too heavy. If you remember this was done in the 70's with
beading furit. All those sequin beaded apples and bananas. This is cuter.

Terry K;
Have you ever done this with a cone to make a mini tree?

Candy Ornament

Remember and make this closer in the season. These were the rage in the
70's. This is a takeoff to the Peppermint Wreath chat that Theresa Taylor is
doing but more personal. Find the favorite candy that your person likes that
is a wrapped candy like Tootsie Rolls, Bubble Gum or any candy wrapped like
this.

Supplies

1 foam Styrofoam Christmas ball ornament

Fancy straight pins with a beaded head or fancy heat

These pin heads will show

Sequins if desired.

Starting at the top of your foam ball, stick your fancy pins with the pins
in the top of the paper wrapping. If using sequins place a sequin on the pin
before inserting it in the ball. Allow candy to stick out and build, row
upon row of candy and pins until ball is completely full. Add a bow or
ribbon on the top and a hook and you have made a pretty candy ornament.

These are really cute if you do a Bubble Gum one for a boy and a mint for a
girl, but these are great for the Candy Christmas tree. Enjoy. Any questions
let me know.
