Hi fellow Krafters,

Here I am again working on reducing the messages on our list.

I have fibromyalgia, and scented stuff gives me an almost instant headache.
Where I work is supposed to be scent free, but they don't really do it.
Luckily the people that work near me don't come to work stinking of those
perfumes that make me sick.

My biggest problem with scented products like room deodorizers and defusers,
and the like is that they are compound scents.  Why can't they just put out
orange, cinnamon, mint, pine, or bay berry without any other scent mixed in?


There is one room deodorizer that I can tolerate and it is plane orange.
There used to be a baby powder scent which I could tolerate also.

The only perfume I can ware is Chanelle number five.

I have several Scency warmers, and I let my daughter pick the scents out for
me to try, because she seems to get what I can tolerate.  If I tried to
smell them all to choose a couple, I'd be down in bed with a headache.

I have to go to the vacuum clearner repair shop to buy my vacuum cleaner
bags, because the bags sold in the grocery store for my machine are sented
by Fabreeze.  I can't stand to use them.  I tried one day because I was
having company, and I had a pounding headache in no time.

Once when I moved, I kept telling people that I smelled gas.  Nobody else
could smell it.  I finally couldn't stand it any more.  I called the gas and
electric company.  The man took his little sniffer down to the basement.  He
said that he didn't know how I could smell that gas.  He said there was a
very tiny hole in the gasline to my drier.  That's how sensitive my nose is.

Do you like different ones for different things?

How do you use fragrances in your daily life?



I love fragrances and use them in many ways, so am really looking forward to
