There are a couple of ways to get around your spam guard.
1.  Go onto your online email.  Not through outlook, but onto the email
access on the internet.
Look through the settings and there is often a setting to restrict mail that
the server suspects is spam.  Turn off the server's spam guard.  Now the
spam will come more freely into your Outlook.  I know that doesn't sound
like something one would want, but, unless you are intending on checking
online for messages caught in the spam catcher this is the only way to get
all of your mail.

2. Now in outlook make sure you have added into your contacts the email
addresses you want to get messages from.  Create a contact for each of those
groups that your messages are being blocked in.
Look in the spam folder and make sure to mark any messages that are not spam
as not spam.  Also, be really sure to mark any messages that are truly spam
as junk, and add the sender to your blocked sender list.

Doing these two steps should help clear up the flow of messages into your
inbox, um, I mean the ones you want.

Then every few days make sure to check that spam or junk folder to make sure
that things are going where you want them to.

A note if you have gmail and are using outlook, arrow down past your inbox
to where it says gmail.  Right arrow to open up the folders, and you will
see Gmail's spam folder.  You may be surprised what you find caught in that
folder.

Good Morning Dixie and Dave, how do you disable this Spam Guard? I have not
been receiving messages from people on other groups unless someone elswe
responds to their message first.

I agree.

I think that the spam guard is blocking it in many cases.

One of the triggers for a spam guard is if a message isn't addressed to a
recipient directly.

When the website sends out the message your address may not be in the to
field, but the cc field and then your spam blocker will catch it and throw
it in the junk folder.

Terry,  you may be right ... and again maybe not.  It is possible the site
didn't send out the e-mails, and it is also possible that you didn't get
them for one reason or another.  At this point, we can't assume one or the
other.  Why would the software send out some e-mails, and not others?  This
is unlikely.
