Subject: Fwd: Eclipse Soundscapes Project

Good afternoon,

My name is Kelsey Perrett and I am writing on behalf of the Eclipse Soundscapes Project, a Cambridge, MA based initiative of the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory and NASA's Heliophysics Education Consortium.

Our project uses sound to bring a multi-sensory experience of the August 21, 2017 eclipse to the blind and visually impaired community. With illustrative audio descriptions of the eclipse delivered in real time and an interactive "Rumble Map" which will allow users to hear and feel the physical qualities of the eclipse, the Eclipse Soundscapes app aims to increase scientific engagement by bringing this astronomical event to a larger, more diverse audience.

*	We have just released our new website at eclipsesoundscapes.org <http://cp.mcafee.com/d/2DRPoO96QnXFzCmn1O9KVJ6WtQm6mhRPqdQT3hONtMQsLCQrFThopp78CQrITvv78FTdGXepfP74Zbg-wazVfi7qvF3ltUzkOrzVfi7qvF3ltUzkOrosvZ4QsCzB_HYCqerT7e3AuLsKCOCqeuoojvphphWyaaRQRrEKsG7DR8OJMddECSjqfniESgFqcy7CQjo0fX7OmFZaJMgFrlLFM073pnPWumVo5vo-iRfFlK25bqJZe00CTAQjhOqekPoKogid40Ro-iRfd40NlK25bqJZ3h05ER4vJcSOCrd4yM> , which has background about us, blog posts, and information on how our project benefits people who are blind or visually impaired <http://cp.mcafee.com/d/avndzgOcy0QrhvKCepps78CXCQrFThopp7ndETjsd7b5T3hO-rhKDt5xBAsyrhKPtZYsyDsSHIVA_csjQJ3W0GfAZ8tF-AdlTydj9KfAZ8tF-AdlTydj9JxN_QjhOqen-LOpEVLssUehWZOWrapEVVxxdZB5B7G8EHnjlKyVOEuvkzaT0QSCrpdEZtazp2BEO8urhdw0_Iv9qDQGT12BJm-D00s87R8Uj_oBQXEzy_SfAJjPpnPWumVo5vo-iRfFlK25bqJZe00CTAQjhOqekPoKogid40Ro-iRfd40NlK25bqJZ3h05ER4vJcSOCrRaCK> .
