She mentioned she doesn't want to sew. I'm betting there is some type of
glue that could be used to adhere it once it is cut to size. There are so
many kinds of everything to choose from now.

I am sorry I am behind here as I have been trying to give myself a break on
the weekends from email. Now catching up.
Yes, I have been told by a dear friend about using the calk ing stuff that
you use for filling tiles or windows. It has a gun handle and tips and just
make some squiggle lines on the soles. You can also purchase that stuff you
were talking about to put on the feet of blanket sleepers. [The raised dot
stuff. They sell it in JoAnn's in a package and there is enough in the
package to do a couple of pairs. You need to cut it and stitch it to the
sole of the socks or foot part of your pattern piece.[if you are making
something footed].

Would something like small pieces of carpet underlay work? Just a thought!

Joyce said a while ago to use caulk, like what you put around to seal a
bathtub or shower. I have not tried it myself. We have a bunch of hospital
socks with the little rubber things on the bottom making them nonskid, so I
know what you mean.
Joyce what say you.

Hi, all,
My mom just sent me a link for some bulky socks, and I wondered: I’d like to
non-skid the soles, and from another forum, I found out some people are
using either Puff-paint or a spray product. Has anyone ever had experience
making the bottoms of slippers/socks non-skid? Preferably, I want something
durable enough to go through the wash, and that will not damage either the
socks or other laundry. Also, something easy to apply eyes-free. Any
thoughts?
Sandra
